The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 schedule was revealed on Friday, with the opening match taking place in Barbados on June 1 and the championship match on June 29. On June 9, India and Pakistan are slated to play in New York.
The groupings and schedule for the ninth edition of the 20-over showcase were announced on Friday, January 5. Three locations in the USA and six in the Caribbean will host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2024.
Ten of the twenty countries will play their opening encounter of the 29-day competition in the United States. The sixteen matches are slated to take place in Lauderhill, Dallas, and New York, while the highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan is set for June 9 at the brand-new Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island.
There will be 41 games spread over six Caribbean islands. Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana will host the semifinals, while Barbados will host the championship event.
On June 1, co-hosts USA and Canada will play their bitter rivals, while on the second day of group play, fellow hosts the West Indies will take on Papua New Guinea in Guyana.
